WNBA Draft 2024: Date, time, top players, schedule, draft order & location Presented by State Farm

The 2024 WNBA Draft concluded with great anticipation and excitement, as 36 talented players in were selected during the three-round event held at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York.

The draft kicked off with the Indiana Fever making a decisive move by choosing Iowa standout Caitlin Clark as the No. 1 overall pick, marking their second consecutive year holding the top selection.

Clark’s selection came as no surprise, given her remarkable college career at Iowa, where she led the Hawkeyes to consecutive NCAA championship games and set numerous records, including the all-time Division I scoring record for both men and women.

Joining forces with last year’s top pick, Aliyah Boston, Clark brings her exceptional skills to the Fever, creating a formidable duo.

Following Clark’s selection, other notable names were quickly drafted, showcasing the depth of talent in this year’s class.

Stanford’s Cameron Brink was selected second overall by the Los Angeles Sparks, while the Chicago Sky bolstered their frontcourt with picks like Kamilla Cardoso from South Carolina and Angel Reese from LSU.

The Dallas Wings and Washington Mystics also added top prospects to their rosters, with Jacy Sheldon from Ohio State joining the Wings and UConn’s Aaliyah Edwards heading to the Mystics.

The Minnesota Lynx secured Utah’s Alissa Pili with the eighth overall pick, further strengthening their lineup.

International talent was also highlighted in the draft, with French prospects Carla Leite and Leila Lacan being selected by the Dallas Wings and the Connecticut Sun, respectively.
